Lioness

the counterpoint to my soul

my burning twin flame 

paths forever crossing 

but I never knew her name 

not sure how I was ever able to miss 

her smile which lightens the darkest abyss 

or her inner fire that burns so bright 

I am thankful now to see her light 

I get lost in her eyes 

her perfect plump lips 

oh what ecstacy 

to taste her sweet kiss

my perfect imperfection

she sweeps me off my feet

the way she looks at me

knocks me on my knees

where i bow to the universe

and thank my lucky stars

that a woman great as this
found her way into my arms
